Pursuing its sustainable development policy, MACtac completes its well known semi-gloss paper offering by launching the new Environmentally Friendly grades Velvet EF and MACcoat EF.

 These new grades will help end-users position their products by using labelling as a powerful communication tool for the growing market of environmentally conscious consumers. These new grades anticipate the new European Directive that people expect the EC will introduce which is a Directive making sure that packaging materials will not exceed a certain level of CO 2 emission when recycled.

 Velvet EF and MACcoat EF coated paper face stocks are the first 100 % FSC certified semi-gloss coated papers being made of 60 % recycled fibres.

 Paper whiteness and mechanical properties are equal to those of the standard Velvet or MACcoat qualities.

 Velvet EF and MACcoat EF also comply with the EU 1935/2004 food regulation.

 Velvet EF and MACcoat EF are available with the water borne acrylic permanent adhesive MP196.
