Nitrile Phenolic for clutch plates
For bonding friction materials with fewer environmental and safety issues than solvent-based adhesives, MACtac has developed the MACfilm® IF4020 range of heat-activated, dry film adhesive products. MACtac's dry film nitrilephenolic tapes provide permanent adhesion to a variety of wet-laid fibers (paper), carbon and other friction materials utilized in automotive OEM, heavy equipment, lawn and garden, and industrial applications. The IF4020 consists of a dry thermosetting adhesive and a 100 gr - 85µm paper liner, and are available as 25µm (IF4020A) and 75µm (IF4023A) tapes
In cluctch plate assembly , the aluminum plate is bond with MACtac IF4020A Series to friction material which is machined to allow fluid to flow
